Framing Tips

Many of my creations have no up or down direction and often can be framed in two or more directions.

Each paper quilt has a separate label on the back with the name of the piece, number, my signature and embossed initials. My embossed insignia is subtly visible on the front so as not to intrude on design or color of the quilt.

Please take care in framing the quilt. I create them to float, with edges free to lay as they may. This can be accomplished by providing depth in the frame. I suggest double-matting and floating the second mat. Ideally, the glass should not touch the paper and matting may be placed up to the edges but never over them. Special museum-quality or UV glass must be used to inhibit fading.
